If there’s one event I look forward to at Disney World its Epcot’s Flower and Garden festival. From the breath taking topiaries to the amazing cuisine it is a must do for all the family. I love all the topiaries Disney create and always enjoy looking for my favourite characters throughout the different lands and pavilions. I also enjoy trying all the different flavours that the festival brings.
The topiaries around ‘ World Showcase ‘ are carefully placed in the country in which their story originates. My favourite topiaries would be the Winnie the Pooh topiary in the United Kingdom pavilion as he has always been a favourite character of mine. I love the simplicity in his design and his balloon he holds just pulls the whole thing together. My other favourite would be the Beauty and the Beast topiary which can be found in the France pavilion. The detailing is stunning, especially on the Beast and the overall design of the two of them is truly breath taking.
As well as beautiful flower arrangements, the Flower and Garden festival also brings delicious food and drinks to the park. The Fried Chicken Dumplings from the Lotus House in the China Pavilion are a cult favourite as well as the Macaron au Chocolat en Sucette or Large Chocolate Macaron Lollipop from Fleur De Lys in the France pavilion. My personal favourite treat from the festival was the Violet Lemonade. This can be found at the Pineapple Promenade which as you walk into World Showcase is on the left. The drink has become an icon item of the festival and its no surprise why after trying it. The taste reminds me of a mix between pink lemonade and Parma Violets and it is topped with a Violet. Its a very refreshing drink a great way to cool you down whilst in the hot Florida sun.
Overall I love the Flower and Garden Festival and would highly recommend going at what ever chance you get, it is a truly stunning festival which is fun for all the family and you defiantly wont regret going.
